Llandysul is a thriving market town on the banks of the river Teifi, 4.5 miles from Llwyn Rhydowen Holiday Cottages. As well as having a good selection of shops and some fine walks to explore, it is steeped in history and Welsh culture.
Rhydowen is a small welsh village between Llandysul and Lampeter, and is named after Owain Glyndwr, the last native Welshman to hold the title Prince of Wales. It is Just a short walk from Llwyn Rhydowen Cottages, and has a pub with an antique and craft shop with tea room.
